AI Film Makers › Online or offline, and the 7-point checklist
Before you pay
AI filmmaking course online or offline? And what should I check before paying?
Most AI filmmaking courses in India are online, because an AI film needs no camera or studio. Offline workshops exist in a few cities and cost more. For a beginner, online is the right call. Before you pay, check 7 things. The list is below.
Online or offline?
| Online (live) | Offline | |
|---|---|---|
| From where | Home, phone or laptop | Travel to a city |
| Fee | ₹249 to ₹3,000 | ₹9,000 and up |
| Language | Hindi and regional batches exist | Mostly English |
| Recording | Yes | Usually no |
| Best for | Beginners, first film | People already making films who want depth |
An AI film is made fully on a screen. So nothing is lost online. What happens on the trainer's screen happens on yours.
7 things to check before you pay
- Live or recorded? Live means you can ask. Recorded means you cannot. Ask: "Will the class be live?"
- Is it in your language? If you think in Hindi, learn in Hindi. It takes half the time.
- Has the trainer made AI films for real clients? Look at their work. Someone who makes tutorials and someone who gets paid by brands are not the same.
- What is the full fee? Workshop fee, and whether the next program is separate. Ask plainly.
- Do you get the recording? What happens if you miss a class.
- Is there a certificate, and can it be verified? A certificate should have a verify link behind it.
- Will you have something made by the end? The most important one. Not theory. Your own film.
